Informal Data System Recording Form

The Informal Data System (IDS) is an amateur ranking point system for the nation. Pilots can collect ranking points to be compared across the nation without traveling long distances for direct "head to head" competition. The IDS is based on systems of local, area, state and regional competition. ASC has prepared separate ranking point systems for vehicles that may wish to be separated if you have unique competition issues, contact ASC for more information.

Steps to prepare this form:

  1. Select tasks which meet the minimum requirements by type of events,
  2. Run the event competitions and record the results. The event scoring does not have to match the points scoring of this form. Therefore, first place overall by points may be different than your overall winner.
  3. Fill out the chart showing: the pilots name. a reference number for the pilot (this can be any organization ID number or even a social security number, it is only critical that each pilot use a consistent number for all events of the year), the type of vehicle, and the points awarded. Points awarded can be determined from the chart below.
  1. Have the judges sign the form and forward it with the recording fee to ASC. Recording Fees are $ 10 per event. Minimum requirements
